Hawaii

Blissful beaches and lush tropical gardens; exotic rainforests and gently flowing waterfalls, all beautifully blessed with a warm aloha spirit.

The largest of Hawaii’s 15 Islands, Oahu, is affectionately known as ‘The Gathering Place’, largely down to the fact that it is the most popular island to visit. And setting your eyes upon its palm-fringed shorelines and turquoise waters, you can instantly see the appeal. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, trying your hand at surfing (or wave sliding) in Waikiki should be high on the agenda. So too, should be spot of snorkelling and scuba diving where - amongst the colourful corals - you might be lucky enough to spot the fabulously named ‘humuhumunukunukuapua'a’, Hawaii’s official state fish.

Soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves are what Hawaiian holidays are all about, but there is plenty beyond the beautiful beaches. From the emerald peaks of Kauai to the raw and rugged beauty of Lanai, and the volcanic wonders of Maui - Hawaii is a real gem of a destination, and the perfect addition to a multi-centre USA holiday.
