New York

From the dazzling lights of Times Square to the trendy bars and restaurants on the lower east side, New York is every bit as magical as it is in the movies.

So many images are ingrained on the mind from the countless films, TV programmes, and books set in this must-visit city. Soaking in these iconic views is made easy thanks to countless observation points such those at the Empire State Building, Rockerfeller’s ‘Top of the Rock’ or at One World. Nothing quite beats the romance, however, of seeing the sunset over the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn Bridge, an unforgettable moment. Be sure to hop on a boat out to Ellis Island to see the Statue of Liberty, catch a musical on Broadway, traverse the glorious High Line, and tuck into some tasty food in Little Italy or Chinatown.

And when you need a breather from the busy streets, picnicking spots don’t get much better than those at Central Park, where hours are happily lost watching the city go by from a bench by the tranquil ponds.
